The SMU Black Student Athlete Committee (SMU BSAC) organized a Black Lives Matter protest on Friday, August 28 on Dallas Hall Lawn following the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.
Over 130 members of the SMU community joined together to march from Dallas Hall to Loyd All-Sports Center and back. President Turner, along with RaSun Kazadi, SMU BSAC President Bri Tollie and Vice President Ashton Woods spoke at the demonstration in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
