SMU head basketball coach Tim Jankovich liked a lot of what he saw from his team on Sunday against UCF. He took pride in their ability to continuously battle back from a deficit that, for most of the game, existed outside the reach of one possession.
"That's maybe as important as anything in a college basketball season," Jankovich said.
That silver lining, however, isn't as important as winning, something SMU has failed to do in its last four games after Sunday's 71-65 loss to UCF. The Mustangs have lost those games by an average of 3.5 points, including a one-point loss at home to USF on Thursday.
