UNIVERSITY PARK -- Running back Xavier Jones reports that things are pretty much normal at SMU practices as it prepares for Louisiana Tech in Wednesday's Frisco Bowl. Same drills, same music, same routines.
All except for one little detail: The head coach.
"It's different, Coach Morris being gone," Jones said.
Chad Morris left SMU 10 days ago for the Arkansas job, taking most of his offensive staff with him. New head coach Sonny Dykes has taken over the bowl preparations.
So the players are going about work for their first postseason experience without the coach that worked with them through the last three seasons to get to this point.
