Highly-touted Brenham athlete Treveon Johnson commits to SMU over Arkansas

SMU picked up a big commit on the eve on National Signing Day, and it came at the expense of the former SMU head coach.

Brenham athlete Treveon Johnson committed to SMU, picking the Mustangs over Chad Morris and Arkansas. Johnson can play either wide receiver or cornerback.

The 6-foot-1 Johnson announced his commitment with a video on Twitter.

From the same high school as former SMU standout Courtland Sutton, Johnson is the highest-rated recruit to commit to SMU since 2007, according to 247Sports.
