UPDATE (3:24 p.m., May 27): Just days after entering the NCAA transfer portal, former SMU point guard Jimmy Whitt has decided on transfering to Arkansas. The graduate transfer announced his decision on Twitter.
Whitt, who transferred to SMU after his freshman season with the Razorbacks, has been given the rare opportunity to play at a former institution once again.
The decision comes the day after Whitt tweeted he was weighing the options of returning to SMU or transferring elsewhere.
Per CBS Sports college basketball analyst Jon Rothstein, Whitt had also received interest from Virginia Tech, Gonzaga, Oregon, and Texas A&M.
