Corinth teen wins U.S. Junior Amateur

After falling in the final match last year, Noah Goodwin -- a 17-year-old Corinth native and SMU commit -- won the U.S. Junior Amateur July 22 at Flint Hills National.

Goodwin was four down with just eight holes to play, but he rallied to finish one up and secure the win.

The comeback started at no. 11 where Goodwin sunk a 35 foot birdie putt to win the hole. He followed that up with pars to win the 12th, 14th and 15th holes to tie the match.
