A cornerback hit the open market today as the New Orleans Saints parted ways with Sterling Moore. Moore started 12 games for the Saints last year as the team dealt with a bevy of injuries but wasn't seeing the field much this season, appearing in just two games and recording three tackles.
Moore's release caught the eye of an old friend in Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley and he made it known that he would not be opposed to his fellow SMU alum and former Cowboys cornerback rejoining the team:
Beasley and Moore first overlapped at SMU, where Beasley played 2008-2011 and Moore played 2009-2010.
