Bryce Cook, a former South Grand Prairie point guard who will play at SMU next season, suffered a stroke on Sunday night and was hospitalized, but is now recovering.

Cook, who transferred from South Grand Prairie to Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas, for his senior season, was found unresponsive on Sunday, according to Stacy Houston, a family friend of the Cooks. He was rushed to the emergency room for emergency treatment. He is now recovering at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
