UNIVERSITY PARK -- If the SMU Mustangs eventually turn their season around after an 0-2 start, the upcoming visit to Michigan is going to have be their equivalent of a growth spurt.
Coach Sonny Dykes got no favors from the previous schedule-makers with TCU last weekend and the trip to The Big House in Ann Arbor, Mich., coming Saturday. But he believes that playing high-caliber competition will pay dividends -- no matter how difficult it is in the here and now.
"Anytime you play good people, it pays off for you," Dykes said after a spirited two-hour practice Tuesday afternoon.
