Ben Hicks became SMU's all-time leader in passing yardage on Saturday night, an item that was lost in the rubble of a 48-20 loss at No. 12 Central Florida in Orlando.
Coach Sonny Dykes acknowledged to reporters that no one was in the mood to celebrate Hicks' accomplishment after the one-sided defeat.
"This is a team sport,'' Dykes told reporters. "It's not about individual accolades. It's a great accomplishment, and something we'll talk about. Individual stuff is for after the season, to look back on and reflect on those types of success.''
Hicks completed 15 of 23 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown.
