Sieging the Kingdom
Getting after Houston quarterback D'Eriq King, who's responsible for more points than any other FBS player this season, was a must for SMU. The Cougars' high-octane offense relies almost solely on his ability to make big plays. And early on, the Mustangs did a good job of bringing the pressure.
Houston, who had allowed only 5 sacks in 8 games, allowed two during the Cougars' first series. Richard Moore found a hole and came right at King up the middle on second down.
