Seton Hall women’s soccer coach Rick Stainton is leaving Seton Hall, Vice President and Director of Athletics Patrick Lyons said on Monday morning.
Stainton’s departure comes after seven years with the program. After serving as an assistant coach in 2011 and 2012, Stainton was named head coach in 2013. The season between ending his assistant coach career and beginning his head coach career at Seton Hall was spent as head coach at Farleigh Dickinson University.
The Pirates have improved defensively under Stainton, but the team has struggled overall in his tenure. Over the past two seasons, the team is 2-24-9.
