The Seton Hall women’s basketball team’s four-game winning streak was snapped by the Marquette Golden Eagles, 89-82, on Sunday afternoon.
Shooting and turnovers doomed the Blue and White. Seton Hall only shot 42 percent and 30 percent from three-point range. Seton Hall gave the ball up 18 times during the game.
Leading the way for the Pirates was senior Tabatha Richardson-Smith with 28 points and nine rebounds. Richardson-Smith now has seven consecutive games in which she has scored 20 or more points.
Senior Aleesha Powell scored 16 points, highlighted by three shots from deep. Graduate-student Shakena Richardson nearly had a double-double with 15 points and eight rebounds.
