The Seton Hall men’s basketball team landed its first commitment of the 2018 class on Tuesday night, as 2018 guard Anthony Nelson announced on Twitter his commitment to play for coach Kevin Willard.
Nelson, a three-star recruit and the No. 2 player from New York, according to 247sports, is a product of South Kent School in Connecticut – the same school that current Seton Hall guard Myles Powell played for in his senior year. Nelson also comes from the same AAU program, the New York Lightning, which produced current Seton Hall freshman guard Jordan Walker.
Nelson picked Seton Hall out of a top-five consisting of Dayton, West Virginia, Clemson and Minnesota.
