Richardson-Smith reaches WNBA deal with San Antonio

Women’s basketball guard Tabatha Richardson-Smith announced on Twitter Wednesday night that she has signed a deal with the WNBA’s San Antonio Stars. Growing up in Bay City, Texas, the signing to San Antonio marks a hometown return for Richardson-Smith.

After spending four years in the program at Seton Hall, Richardson-Smith’s senior year was one for the record books. Not only did she become the Hall’s all-time leading scorer with a final count of 1,925 career points, but she also finished first in program history with 271 made 3-pointers and fourth in program history with 221 steals.

Following the season, Richardson-Smith was a unanimous selection to the All-Big East First Team.
