The Seton Hall men’s and women’s cross-country teams ended their regular season this afternoon with the 2017 Metropolitan Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. Both teams entered the meet off the back of three consecutive first place finishes, however, there would be no fourth straight win for either, as the two sides posted matching fifth place finishes.
The women’s team competed in a field of 14 teams and 129 runners. The Pirates finished just five minutes behind leaders Manhattan with a total time of 1:39:11.
Nothing changed at the front of the pack for the Pirates, who were led by Christiana Rutkowski, once again, with the redshirt junior taking fifth place with a time of 18:48.
