The Seton Hall softball team concluded play at the Mercer Bear Classic in Macon, Ga., on a high note with a 4-0 victory against Oakland on Sunday to wrap things up with three wins in five games.
The Pirates (15-13) played well offensively out of the gate, scoring one run in the first inning and all four of their runs after the third inning. On the other side of the ball, freshman Madison Strunk threw seven innings of shut-out ball to preserve the lead and to ultimately win the game. Strunk only allowed four baserunners all game, allowing only two hits and two walks while striking out three en route to her 11th victory of the season.
