The Seton Hall women’s basketball team defeated Georgetown, 76-63, on Sunday afternoon with the aid of another 20-point performance from the team’s leading scorer Shadeen Samuels.
Samuels was hot from the opening tip, going 3-for-5 from beyond the arc on her way to 13 first half points. In the second half, it was more of the same as she guided the ship for the Pirates with timely steals and drawn fouls on the Hoyas. Samuels has now scored at least 15 points in nine of the last 10 games.
The recipe for a bounce-back win after a gut-wrenching loss to Villanova appeared to be easy for Seton Hall – shoot better from the field and share the ball more.
