No. 22 Seton Hall were held to a 1-1 draw at home by No. 3 Georgetown after second half goals from either side forced the game into two goalless halves of overtime on Saturday.
Saturday’s game provided the Pirates with an opportunity to avenge their 2-1 overtime loss against the Hoyas from earlier in the season and jump their Big East rivals in the regular season standings. However, both sides had to settle for a draw as both teams remain level atop the standings despite the Hoyas having played one less game.
The draw was Georgetown’s second of the season as they remain undefeated with a 4-0-2 record while Seton Hall improve to 6-1-3 on the season and 4-1-2 in Big East play.
