The Seton Hall students rode J.P. Macura all day long.
They united repeatedly for an off-color chant about him. They waved giant celebrity heads toward him. They even had a sign to remind him about that night at a Cincinnati bar in 2016 that led to some legal trouble.
It didn't really work.
Macura led all scorers with 27 points, including a thunderous follow slam to put an exclamation point on No. 11 Xavier's second-half comeback, as the Musketeers defeated No. 19 Seton Hall, 73-64, in front of a disappointed sellout crowd at the Prudential Center in Newark.
