Gerson Echeverry has spent a significant part of his life at Seton Hall, devoting 15 years as a player, assistant coach and for the most recent six years, as head coach. But the latter of those stints came to end on Monday morning, with the announcement that Echeverry has stepped down from the position he held since Dec. 19, 2011, to pursue other opportunities.
“I want to thank Pat Lyons and Seton Hall University for giving me the opportunity to coach at my alma mater,” Echeverry said in a press release. “It has been a great privilege to coach at the place that helped me grow from a boy into a man.
