The Seton Hall women’s soccer team suffered a narrow defeat against Siena University, 1-0, in their first game of the season on Friday afternoon.
As soon as the referee blew his whistle to signal the opening kick of the game, the Saints pressed forward in an attacking position. Seton Hall, unable to react in time, was not in position to head away the first cross of the game. Sienna capitalized on the kick directed from the left of the field and took the lead just 16 seconds into the game.
Within the next ten minutes of game time, the Pirates aggressively kept their foot on the gas pedal, as they fired three shots on goal.
