Danny Hurley is on the move.
The former Rhode Island men's basketball coach has agreed to a six-year deal at the University of Connecticut, where he takes the reins of the four-time national championship-winning program.
The contract will pay him approximately $3 million per year, triple his salary at Rhode Island, according to the Hartford Courant.
Hurley, 45, spent six seasons at Rhode Island, guiding the Rams to a 113-82 record and two berths in the NCAA Tournament. Before that, he coached two seasons at Wagner University following a decade at St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, where he built the Gray Bees into a national powerhouse.
