The Seton Hall baseball team dropped both games of its doubleheader Saturday against Texas Christian University, bringing its season record to 14-17. This was the Pirates’ first meeting with TCU ever and their first meeting with a nationally ranked opponent this season.
Ricky DeVito allowed only one run in the game’s first five innings before TCU scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 5-0 lead over the Pirates. DeVito had five strikeouts in the first 5.1 innings before TCU had its offensive breakout.
Casey Dana and Tyler Shelder-McAvoy each had a single in the game.
