Florida Gators quarterback Will Grier has reportedly been suspended for the rest of the 2015 season for a violation of NCAA rules.
Mike Huguenin of GridironNow.com first reported the news Monday, while Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman reported the ban will be "at least" through the remainder of 2015.
ESPN's Brett McMurphy indicated Grier's suspension is due to testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. According to ESPN's Derek Tyson, he took an unapproved over-the-counter substance.
Bleacher Report's Bryan Fischer weighed in on Grier's prospective punishment:
Based on what I know of the policies, I would not assume Grier’s suspension will carry over into next season.
