His team is a double-digit underdog to No. 18 Houston on Saturday, but Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason doesn’t plan for the Commodores to be a résumé-builder for the unbeaten Cougars.
“The spotlight’s going to be on them,” Mason said. “It is an SEC opponent, so I’m sure for them, they think that’s added value. But sometimes you have to be careful what you ask for.”
That last part could also be said for Vandy (3-4), and Mason knows it.
