With two games remaining in their season the Vanderbilt Commodores have a shot at a bowl berth.
While there are no certainties and the upcoming challenges will be tough – Vanderbilt plays host toTexas A&M on Saturday and goes to Knoxville to meet Tennessee a week later and needs wins in both games to be bowl eligible – the fact they're even in the conversation this late in the season is a sign of the progress made in Nashville under second-year coach Derek Mason.
"Just sticking to the plan," Mason said of the reason for improvement.
