COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Whether it's the propensity to pass or the nature of splitting carries between multiple running backs, Texas A&M hasn't been the place for one running back to stand out, statistically, under Kevin Sumlin.
The only player to rush for 1,000 yards as an Aggie since 2012 was quarterback Johnny Manziel in his Heisman Trophy-winning season, when he ran for 1,410 yards.
Senior running back Tra Carson has a chance to reach that mark, sitting at 864 yards with two regular-season games remaining.
"It would mean a lot," Carson said of reaching the benchmark, "but I'll trade 1,000 yards for wins any day.
