Texas A&M's familiar November swoon cause for concern

Two weeks ago, Texas A&M was the talk of the college football world.

The Aggies were ranked No. 4 in the initial 2016 College Football Playoff rankings, a designation that raised eyebrows since -- at 7-1 -- they were placed above an undefeated Power 5 conference team (Washington) that was 8-0 at the time. The discussion centered on whether the Aggies deserved that ranking, but without question, they were in the national championship hunt.

The coaches and players said all the right things about not paying attention to the rankings, but those words eventually rang hollow when the Aggies came out flat the following Saturday in a 35-28 loss to Mississippi State, a team that was 3-5 entering the game.
