Whether they like it or not, somebody from the SEC East has to play Alabama in the SEC championship game.
The identity of the team that will face the top-ranked Crimson Tide -- assuming they make it to Atlanta themselves -- remains a gigantic mystery. Tennessee and Florida seem to be the most likely contenders to face the West champion on Dec. 3, but several dominoes still must fall before either team clinches a trip to Atlanta. Believe it or not, a path to the title game still exists for Kentucky and South Carolina as well, but Georgia and Vanderbilt are both eliminated even in a scenario where multiple teams tie with 4-4 conference records.
