Now that the first batch of College Football Playoff rankings are here, we can really get a better gauge of what the bowl picture could really look like in little more than a month.
To no one's surprise, Alabama took the nation's No. 1 ranking, which means the Crimson Tide is still the favorite to not just make its third straight playoff run, Alabama continues to look like the country's favorite to win it all for the second straight year.
The first big shocker of the rankings season was Texas A&M, which came in at No. 4.
