SEC Releases Statement on Twitter Account Hack

The SEC's official Twitter account was hacked Saturday, resulting in images of scarcely clothed women appearing on the account.

According to ESPN.com's Darren Rovell, SEC spokesman Herb Vincent said the conference took action to correct the issue: "We became aware of it when we saw some retweets. The images were removed immediately, our password changed and we notified Twitter. We will, of course, continue to monitor the account closely today."
