This week, we’re continuing our team-by-team look at some of the intriguing freshmen on SEC teams. We conclude the series with Vanderbilt:
DB Joejuan Williams: The ESPN 300 cornerback was the highest-rated signee in Vanderbilt’s 2016 class and the lone ESPN 300 prospect in the Commodores’ class. Rated as the No. 200 player in the ESPN 300, Williams has the size (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) and ability to have an immediate impact. One of the most intriguing aspects about Williams is that he hasn’t played a game in awhile – he had to sit out his senior year of high school because of ineligibility related to a transfer – but he enrolled at Vanderbilt in January and participated in spring football, giving him a chance to work off some of the rust and as well as an opportunity to compete for early playing time in the fall.
