SEC football fans – Alabama fans in particular – are still licking their wounds after a painful loss to Clemson in the national championship game. But with another year of stellar recruiting by SEC schools, can the conference rise to the top again in 2017?
The ACC solidified themselves as the best conference in college football last year, but they certainly haven’t strung together the type of success seen in the SEC.
That doesn’t mean they won’t.
For the SEC to return to kings of the gridiron (and in more ways than just Alabama winning yet another national title) there will have to be some improvement up and down the conference, and those SEC-ACC grudge match games will need to swing the other direction this season.
