1. Each SEC team will play a total of 8 conference games
A debate that was often talked about recently, each SEC team will play a total of eight conference games during the 2024 season, rather than nine. The only SEC schools who voted for the nine-game conference schedule were Florida, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, and Texas A&M, with both Texas and Oklahoma also supporting nine conference games, but did not have a vote according to Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.
