For the final regular season week of basketball season, two SEC basketball teams shared the honor of SEC Player of the Week.
South Carolina’s Chris Silva and Arkansas’s Daniel Gafford were Co-SEC Players of the Week after their performances last week.
Silva averaged 23 points, and 13.5 rebounds in the two Gamecock wins. Despite being a senior, this is his first SEC weekly honor of Silva’s career.
Against Texas A&M he made 8-of-9 shots, 22 points, 17 boards, and went 4-of-4 from the arc. According to South Carolina’s website, the four three-pointers and 17 boards were career highs for Silva.
