“There hasn’t been -- and I’m not trying to put anybody down -- a solid quarterback [at Florida] since the [Tim] Tebow era," Trask told ESPN earlier this week.
He's absolutely right. The three-star, barely-recruited quarterback -- who Jim McElwain is hoping is a genuine diamond in the rough -- from Manvel, Texas, isn't blind to the fact that a school known so much for its quarterbacking prestige has fallen on hard times for the better part of the past decade.
