What has happened to the Landshark defense at Ole Miss?

Two years ago, the Rebels led the SEC in scoring defense, giving up only 16 points per game. Last season, that average increased to 22.6 points per game and the Rebels finished eighth in the conference in scoring defense. After one game this season, a 45-34 loss to Florida State on Monday night, they are currently dead last in the league -- yes, even behind a Kentucky defense that gave up 44 points to Southern Miss.

Like Kentucky, Ole Miss blew a big lead in what Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze called a “nightmarish second half.
