November nosedive: How things went wrong for Texas A&M

Entering the final month of the regular season, Texas A&M was in great position to make a serious run at the College Football Playoff, ranked fourth in the selection committee's first rankings. At 7-1, the Aggies looked different, felt different and finally seemed to get over the second-half hump that impeded them the previous two seasons (which had 5-0 starts and 8-5 endings).

Then November happened. The Aggies went 0-for-the-SEC in the month and won only once (over Group of 5 foe UTSA).

How did things go south so quickly for the Aggies, who finished 8-4 and fourth in the SEC West?
