Midyear enrollees are a priority for LSU's 2017 recruiting class

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Although Ed Orgeron and his staff are still working to land a few major prospects, some of the biggest names in LSU's 2017 recruiting class will already be enrolled in a few weeks.

With a roster that could lose as many as 13 starters once the season ends, LSU's coach has focused on midyear enrollees. The Tigers have at least six lined up now, and the number could grow as to as many as nine.

"Obviously midyear guys are a priority," Orgeron said this week. "We have a good group of midyear guys that want to come in here, and those are the guys that we've been targeting on home visits, targeting on our official visits, and also targeting our major guys that are already committed to us.
