Mississippi State football fans have had plenty of questions on their minds this offseason.
Will quarterback Nick Fitzgerald take another step forward after a breakout 2016 season? With Fred Ross gone, who will take over to be a go-to wide receiver? Who fills Jamaal Clayborn’s shoes at center?
The most pressing questions, however, are on the defensive side of the ball. With the Bulldogs set to wrap up spring practice with Saturday’s Maroon and White game (4 p.m. ET, SEC Network), new coordinator Todd Grantham’s bunch will be the biggest source of intrigue.
