BATON ROUGE, La. -- The good news for LSU is that Les Miles says the plan is "full speed ahead" for star running back Leonard Fournette to play in Saturday's SEC opener against Mississippi State.
"What we would expect is his health continues to get better," Miles said Wednesday. "We really want to wait until he's 100 percent and he's really closing in on that right now. We expect that we may have him for Saturday."
Fournette sat out last Saturday's win over FCS opponent Jacksonville State after re-injuring his left ankle late in the Tigers' season-opening loss to Wisconsin.
