Gus Malzahn announced Thursday that Jeremy Johnson would start at quarterback for Auburn’s game against Alabama A&M this weekend. Yes, that’s the same Jeremy Johnson who went from potential Heisman Trophy candidate to the bench in a little less than a month.
"Obviously, it’s been tough the last two years on him," Malzahn said Tuesday. "I think everybody knows that. But he’s handled himself well. He’s been there for his teammates, and he’s just trying to help us win any way he can."
