What a weekend it was for Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
While most of the SEC focus was on Tennessee for coming from behind to stop its losing streak against Florida and take control of the SEC East, or Ole Miss for blowing out Georgia, or Texas A&M for its late-night win against Arkansas, or -- most recently -- LSU for firing of Les Miles and Cam Cameron following a last-second loss to Auburn, the Wildcats and Commodores quietly obtained much-needed victories.
Kentucky, which started 1-2 and allowed 35 first-half points at home to New Mexico State in its lone win in Week 3, got its first SEC win of 2016 with a 17-10 triumph against South Carolina.
