Auburn is enjoying an impactful week on the recruiting trail. After picking ESPN Junior College 50 No. 1 and quarterback Jarrett Stidham on Saturday, the Tigers struck again at a position of need on Wednesday reeling in a commitment from ESPN JC 50 tight end Salvatore Cannella.
Significance of impact: Auburn has a serious need at tight end in the 2017 class. While two tight ends are ideally needed to add to the roster heading into the 2017 season, Cannella’s commitment fills a big void as a pass-catching threat with the ability to play as a flex or in the slot.
