In a murky SEC sea of underachieving quarterbacks, Tennessee's Joshua Dobbs has somewhat stood out from the pack. He wasn't spectacular, but he certainly wasn't mediocre or even so-so.
Dobbs showed signs of brilliance at times and let us know that he has a ton of athleticism and pretty good potential that could turn him into a legitimate star in this league, if not nationally. But those signs of brilliance were sometimes blurred by inconsistent play and even moments of bewilderment on the field. It's almost frustrating to watch because the possibilities sometimes seem endless when Dobbs is clicking.
