Growing up in the state of Alabama, it’s crimson or orange. You’re either an Alabama fan or an Auburn fan. There’s no middle ground.
That might be difficult to grasp for some of the out-of-state players who come to these schools without knowing what the Iron Bowl rivalry is truly all about. But for the ones who grew up in Alabama, they know all too well what this rivalry means to this state and those who live in it.
They likely grew up cheering for one side or the other. They might have had family members who played for the Crimson Tide or the Tigers.
