Inside the play: LSU's last-second, game-winning TD that wasn't

AUBURN, Ala. -- One play and one call changed the outcomes for two teams and possibly determined the futures for two head coaches.

The sequence of events began when LSU was driving in the final minutes, down 18-13 on the road at Auburn. Quarterback Danny Etling had moved his team down the field and put the Tigers in position to win. On fourth-and-6 from the Auburn 10-yard line, he completed a pass to Travin Dural for eight yards and a first down. LSU would have one more chance.

“We had enough time in my opinion to get a first down and then go run and get our last play off,” Etling said.
