AUBURN, Ala. – On the first day of fall camp, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney played a video for his players with the theme, “Finish with no regrets.” This was a team that lost by five points in the national championship game. Through three quarters, they held a 24-21 lead.
That loss to Alabama was devastating at the time, but it’s served as motivation during the entire offseason and will continue to do so this upcoming season.
“They’ve had a sense of urgency from Day 1,” Swinney said. “I’ve never had to say, ‘Let’s go.’ When I walk in the meetings, they’re ready.
