For the first time in a few seasons, Georgia football fans were expecting the quarterback position to be something they didn’t have to worry about in 2017. Well, that lasted about half a quarter. But there was good news and bad news for Georgia football fans.
On the third possession of the game, starting quarterback Jacob Eason was forced out of bounds and his knee appeared to buckle. Eason tried to walk it off, but ended up laying on the field for a couple minutes while trainers tended to the sophomore signal-caller.
In Kirby Smart’s Monday press conference, he said Eason will not play this Saturday against Notre Dame.
